President Emeritus

Matt McCloskey founded MFG in 1969.  Now in semi-retirement, he serves as President Emeritus. With over 50 years of investment  and wealth management experience, Matt built his reputation putting his clients’ interests first.  Matt’s career started with Elkins, Morris & Stroud, the preeminent Philadelphia brokerage house. Throughout his career, Matt has assisted countless individuals in managing their wealth, creating investment strategies, and securing their financial future

Matt has always been an active member of his community. He is involved with numerous charitable organizations and serves on several boards, including the Martin de Porres Foundation, The Ambassador’s Fund for Catholic Education.  He is also an active member of Serra Club of Philadelphia and the former president of Serra International. Matt has also served on the Board of Trustees of St. Joesph’s Preparatory School and as a founding board member of Rosemont School of the Holy Child.

Matt is “Pop-Pop” to 17 grandchildren and the husband of 59 years to Donna. He lives in Bryn Mawr and Vero Beach, FL and is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

As he enters into semi-retirement, Matt remains committed to supporting McCloskey Financial Group in any capacity. His legacy continues to inspire the team of financial advisors at MFG.  His impact on the lives of his clients is immeasurable.
